Daily News and Views

allAfrica.com: Environment and Sustainable Development
Most of us have a tendency to focus exclusively on U.S. or perhaps European environmental news. This site can help to contradict that tendency. allAfrica doesn't only cover environmental news, but the environmental section contains daily stories on many topics from all parts of Africa. There is also a list of links that will takes you to allAfrica stories about particular topics of interest, such as wildlife or agriculture.

BBC News - Science and Nature
Always excellent - up-to-date and with lots of original reporting. Tends to have more information from outside the U.S., too.

Capitol Reports - Environmental News Links
Another collection of links to environmental news stories, organized by category. The navigation is kind of annoying on this page, but there's still lots of useful stuff. Especially nice are the links at the top to the Federal Register, Federal Courts, and Federal and State agencies.

The Envirolink Network
This site collects links to various environmental news stories, and also has a wide array of background information on many related topics. A great resource.

Environmental News Network
Featuring news shorts and in-depth articles arranged in categories from climate change to gardening to socially responsible investment, this site has it all. They also have nifty interactive features, including ways to search for your local media and elected officials, making it easy to let those in power know what you think.

Grist Magazine
The motto here is "gloom and doom with a sense of humor". See "Main Dish" for daily news stories, and "Muckraker" for in-depth reporting. There's always something interesting to read at this site.

Yahoo News - Environment and Nature
The best aggregate news site for environmental stories, collecting links from the AP, New York Times, Washington Post, and other newspapers around the globe. Also links to other environmental news sites.

Lots of fun, and a great educational resource as well.
